Himachal Pradesh is the epitome of nature's bounty and climatic disparity. The state boasts its enormous variety of flora and fauna and biodiversity. On a Himachal tour package, you can reach your destination in many ways. Himachal Pradesh is properly connected with all modes of transportation and frequent services to some of the major neighbouring states like Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand and J&K. If you are planning a Himachal family tour package, choose from any of these 3 modes of transportation: By Rail: Kalka is the nearest railway station, approximately 90km away from Himachal. As the state has lift hills, there are no railway tracks. Travellers can access Himachal Pradesh via Indian Railways and explore major Himachal attractions. By Air: Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, is the nearest airport from Himachal Pradesh, approximately 357km away. If you are coming for a Himachal trip from a foreign country, this is the only option. Kullu, 23km from Himachal, also has a domestic airport. By Road: Himachal has an excellent road network connecting all major cities. Himachal is 343km from New Delhi via Chandigarh, 240km from Dehradun, and 151km from Ambala.
When you are in Himachal, do try Madra (found in Kangra and Chamba), Dhaam in Chamba and Manali, Tudkiya Bhath in Chamba, Bhey, Chha Ghost, Siddu in Kullu, Babru in Shimla, Aktori, Kullu Trout Fish, Mittha, Kaale Channe ka Khatta, and various Tibetian delights.
Ideally, May to June is the best time to visit Himachal. Whether you are visiting the state with family, friends, or as newlyweds, you can see the best of Himachal during this season. Pleasant weather, colourful vegetation, and nature's bliss make Himachal heavenly.
